The eleventh round of the MX3 World Championship was entirely in the Belgian rider’s hands and he was the clear winner in both motos to pick up the day’s top podium and another 50 championship points. Breugelmans won the holeshot in the first heat and remained in the lead for the entire race. In the second he came from behind local hero Saso Kragelj and whipped past him in the latter part of the race to take victory at the checkered flag. The Belgian is now 22 points clear of second placed rival Yves Demaria, who finished fifth on Sunday. After heat and rain had dogged the riders in earlier races in the season, they enjoyed almost perfect weather on race day in Slovenia’s Orehova vas as well as a lively atmosphere from a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters.
